Round 11 - British Superstocks - Oulton Park

Oulton Park is a circuit I dont particularly get on with, but inbetween races I had finally got the front end as I wanted it. The weather was off and on all weekend so it was hard to get a good set up. By 1st qualifying I was happy with the setting and qualified in 16th.

In the race I was running very well and working my way through the field, my fastest lap was over 1 second quicker than I had ever been before so I was happy. Unfortunatly half way into the race the weather turned and the race was red flagged due to incedents on the track. Just before the red flag - for reasons that are unknown to me - I crashed at Island bend, for those of you who know this circuit you will know it is a very fast left hand corner - not a good place to be crashing! In the crash I suffered severe concussion - hence I cant remember anything about the accident, a suspected broken scaphoid in my right hand and amongst other injuries I received nerve damage in my leg.

Unfortunatly these injuries were to be the end of my season as I had no chance of recovering for the final round.
