9th round - Silverstone
19-21 August 2005
The bike was feeling
good during first free Practice but there was inevitably some more set
up required in order to get the lap needed for pole position. Qualifying
1 the bike was working really well and was finding some good rhythm and
finished the session in 2nd on the grid.
I was however,
confident that another Pole position was possible in the next Qualifier.
A decision was made to make some adjustments to the rear of the bike but
it didn’t quite go according to plan and we finished the session 6th on
the grid.
Air and track
temp were soaring by race time. The start was good, and got round turn
one in 7th position and managed to push really hard to get up to 4th at
the end of lap 1, and then eventually up to 3rd as we broke away from
the rest. However a mistake 4 laps from the end allowed Jackson by leaving
in me in fourth at the flag.
